Already in first grade the members of InMotion!, Ivo Studer and Jan Schmutz, were rather interested in juggling- than footballs. Computer games couldn’t catch their attention as well. Instead they would rather play with diabolos and other skill toys.

At the end of the 90’s the worldwide Yo-Yo wave reached Switzerland and created a big Yo-Yo community. Like hundreds of other students Ivo and Jan discovered the Yo-Yo in the summer 1998. The young artists got to know each other in the year 1999 at a Yo-Yo competition. In the summer of 2000 their career together began with a promotional appearance for one of the biggest department stores in Switzerland.

It turned out to be their common passion and the challenge was to unite choreography, skillfulness and movement. Over the intervening years their show was enriched with further skill toys like pois or fire toys.
